Create a Child Idea Space

 

Child Idea Spaces give you a dedicated public or private workspace nested within another Idea Space. You can create Challenges and Conversations within this space and collaborate with individuals or teams on Ideas.

Who can do this? Platform site Admins and Idea Space Admins within assigned Idea Spaces.

Create a Child Idea Space

  1. Go to your Idea Space.

  2. Select Manage > Add Child Idea Space.
  3. On the General tab, select Title and Description, and enter a name and description.

  4. Select Roles, and then under Idea Space Admins, enter a user's name and select them from the list.

  5. On the Registration tab, select Membership Settings, and then configure your access settings.

  6. Configure any additional settings to your preference on each tab.

  7. Click Publish.

Note: Idea Space Admins will automatically have admin permissions for all child communities. These permissions are inherited for all nested communities such as additional sub-communities (child of a child) and apply to new admins assigned to existing communities.
