What is a taxonomy field?

The taxonomy field is a special field you can add to a form, that lets you categorize Ideas against large amounts of data. This is useful when you have a large list of values that Ideas need to be categorized against, and you want to combine them into a single hierarchy.

How to use the taxonomy field?

You might add multiple taxonomy fields to a form to support different data sets, such as location data, skills hierarchies, and product categories. If you're running a Challenge that requires users to select a specific location when submitting an Idea, you could create a Taxonomy field that displays the data as:

  • Division > Country > City > Office Location

Once a taxonomy field is added to the Form Builder, you can add a taxonomy field to a form to use in a Challenge. The Challenge Manager can then upload the taxonomy values to a Challenge form.

Note: If you would like a taxonomy field created and added to your Form Builder, please contact your Innovation Consultant or our support team at support@wazoku.com.
