Assign Idea Managers by Category

 

You can automatically assign one or more Idea Managers to Ideas in your Challenge based on the Category of each Idea.

Who can do this? Platform site Admins, Idea Space Admins and Co-creation Community Admins for assigned communities, and Challenge Managers for assigned Challenges.

Note: To assign an Idea Manager by Category, you’ll first need to turn on the automatic assignment of Idea Managers and add categories to your Challenge if you haven't done so already.

Assign Idea Managers by Category

  1. Go to your Challenge.

  2. Select Manage > Edit Challenge.

  3. On the Extras tab, select Idea Managers.

  4. Under Assignment stage, select the stage Idea Managers should be assigned to Ideas.

  5. Under Assign by, select Category.

  6. Click Invite Idea Managers next to a category or sub-category.

  7. Enter a user or group name and select them from the list.

  8. Click Submit.

  9. (Optional) Under Personalised message, enter a message your Idea Managers will see when they're assigned to an Idea.

  10. Click Save.

When an Idea reaches the assignment stage, an Idea Manager will be chosen from the category list and assigned to the Idea that matches their Category.

Tip: You can manually add Idea Managers to specific Ideas by managing Idea Managers on an Idea or automatically assign Idea Managers when you create a Challenge. You can also change the assignment stage at any time, even if you have existing Ideas.

Note: Idea creators and existing team members cannot be assigned as Idea Managers, and only 1 Idea Manager will be assigned to each Idea.
