Configure comment moderation

Comment moderation lets you moderate the comments that are added to ideas. This helps to make sure ideas are on point and follow your terms and conditions.

Configure comment moderation

  1. Go to your Challenge.

  2. Click Manage and select Edit Challenge.

  3. On the Social tab, under Do you want to enable comment moderation, select Yes.

  4. Configure your comment moderation settings:

    1. Challenge Managers default as comment moderators: Select Yes or No if challenge managers default as comment moderators.

    2. Can moderators report comments?: Select Yes or No if moderators can report comments.

    3. Select moderators: Select which users or user groups are assigned as moderators.

    4. Select a moderation type: Select if reported comments are hidden automatically or manually by a moderator.

  5. Click Update Challenge.

Note: Admins and Managers can moderate comments by default, and if a comment has been reported and accepted by a moderator, it can't be reported again unless edited. A comment will remain reported until a moderator makes a decision.


(Beta) Enhanced Challenge builder experience 

Follow these steps if you're using the latest version of the Challenge builder with the enhanced experience.

Configure comment moderation

  1. Go to your Challenge.

  2. Select Manage > Edit Challenge.

  3. On the General tab, select Roles.

  4. Under Moderators, turn on the For comments toggle.
  5. Under Select Comment Moderators, enter a user's name and select them from the list.
  6. (Optional) Turn on the Add Challenge Managers as moderators toggle.
  7. Click Save.
