Automatically progress Ideas in a Challenge stage

 

If you want to save time when progressing Ideas through your Challenge workflow, you can automatically progress the ideas when they reach a certain stage, the stage closes, or based on specific criteria.

Who can do this? Platform site Admins, Idea Space Admins and Co-creation Community Admins for assigned communities, and Challenge Managers for assigned Challenges.

Automatically progress Ideas when a stage closes

  1. Go to your Challenge.

  2. Select Manage > Edit Challenge.

  3. On the Workflow tab, select a stage.

  4. Under Progression settings, turn on the Automatically progress Ideas toggle.

  5. Select When stage closes.

  6. Click Save.

When you close the selected stage, all the Ideas within that sage will automatically be progressed to the next stage in your Challenge workflow.

Automatically progress Ideas immediately

  1. Go to your Challenge.

  2. Select Manage > Edit Challenge.

  3. On the Workflow tab, select a stage.

  4. Under Progression settings, turn on the Automatically progress Ideas toggle.

  5. Select Immediately.

  6. Click Save.

When an Idea reaches the selected stage, it’ll automatically progress to the next stage in the workflow.

Automatically progress Ideas if defined criteria are met

  1. Go to your Challenge.

  2. Select Manage > Edit Challenge.

  3. On the Workflow tab, select a stage.

  4. Under Progression settings, turn on the Automatically progress Ideas toggle.

  5. Select If defined criteria are met.

  6. Under Criteria, enter your preferred criteria for progressing Ideas.

  7. Click Save.

When an Idea reaches the selected stage, it will automatically progress to the next stage if it matches your defined criteria.
