Types of Challenge Statuses

Challenge statuses let you track the status of a Challenge throughout its lifecycle.

Below is a complete list of the Challenge statuses:

The Draft status indicates that a Challenge has been saved as a draft and has yet to be published.

The Pending status indicates that a Challenge has been created and published but is scheduled to open.

The Open status indicates that a Challenge is accepting Idea submissions.

The Active status indicates that a Challenge is no longer accepting Idea submissions but has at least one stage open in the workflow.

The Closed status indicates that all the stages in a Challenge are closed, but the Challenge is not yet completed.

The Completed status indicates that a Challenge is no longer accepting Idea submissions, and all the stages within a Challenge are closed.

The Archived status indicates that a Challenge was completed and archived, so it’s no longer shown on the Discover page by default.

Note: Challenge statuses are not the same thing as Challenge stages.
