Ideas that have been rejected or archived do not show by default in search results. You can choose to show them by using the Show archived option.

On a challenge page or ideas results if you wish to show all ideas including archived ones select the box highlighted below:

On a profile page > Activity tab there is also the option to show archived ideas:
