Configure Idea moderation

Idea moderation lets you moderate the Ideas that are submitted to Challenges. This helps to make sure Ideas are on point and follow your terms and conditions.

Configure Idea moderation

  1. Go to your Challenge.

  2. Click Manage and select Edit Challenge.

  3. On the Social tab, under Do you want to enable Idea moderation, select Yes.

  4. Configure your Idea moderation settings:

    1. Challenge Managers default as idea moderators: Select Yes or No if challenge managers default as idea moderators.

    2. Can moderators report ideas?: Select Yes or No if moderators can report ideas.

    3. Select moderators: Select which users or user groups are assigned as moderators.

    4. Select a moderation type: Select if reported ideas are hidden automatically or manually by a moderator.

  5. Click Update Challenge.

Note: Admins and Managers can moderate Ideas by default, and if an Idea has been reported and accepted by a moderator, it can't be reported again unless edited. An Idea will remain reported until a moderator makes a decision.


(Beta) Enhanced Challenge builder experience 

Follow these steps if you're using the latest version of the Challenge builder with the enhanced experience.

Configure Idea moderation

  1. Go to your Challenge.

  2. Select Manage > Edit Challenge.

  3. On the General tab, select Roles.

  4. Under Moderators, turn on the For ideas toggle.
  5. Under Select Idea Moderators, enter a user's name and select them from the list.
  6. (Optional) Turn on the Add Challenge Managers as moderators toggle.
  7. Click Save.
