New 'On Hold' Idea Status

As ideas move through a workflow, you aren't always in a position to evaluate an idea, perhaps it relates to a future project that hasn't kicked-off yet. Currently the idea will sit in limbo as an outstanding task, frustrating the idea creator and evaluators. The new On Hold status enables Admins, Challenge Managers and Evaluators to freeze an idea in it's current stage and then re-activate it when they are ready to make a decision.

Key features of the on hold status:

  • Ideas can be put On Hold in both Phased and Parallel Challenges
  • Ideas can be put On Hold in any stage except Completed
  • The idea remains editable whilst On Hold if the stage settings allow it
  • Rejected, Approved and Completed Ideas cannot be put On Hold
  • People can still comment and vote on ideas that are On Hold
  • An idea On Hold is exempt from auto-progression
  • In Phased Challenges, if an Idea is On Hold in a closed stage, when the hold is removed the idea is fast-tracked to the open stage
