Translating Challenges

We are making it easier to run a truly global platform and encourage users, regardless of their preferred language, to participate, by allowing Challenge Managers to translate Challenge content.

If the content is translated, when a user accesses the Challenge, they will be presented with the content in their selected language. If the content has not be translated into their selected language, they will be presented with the content in the default Challenge language.

The following fields can be translated for Challenges:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Stage Names
  • Evaluation Criteria

Note: Additional Challenge content, such as Categories and Statuses, can be translated by Admins on the Admin Panel. See the Admin Panel article for more information.

Translating a New Challenge

2) Select the default language for the Challenge from the Language button in the top right hand corner of the page. The initial default language will be the default language for the site.
