Drill down into a widget

On some widgets, you can drill down in order to get an in-depth view and breakdown of a selected value.

Who can do this? Designers and Viewers of a shared dashboard.

Manually drill down into a widget

Go to a dashboard.
Right-click on the widget item you want to drill down into.
Click Drill Into.
Select a data field to drill into.

Tip: To drill up to a higher level, click on a breadcrumb. To drill all the way up, click on the X icon.

Note: If you have already drilled into a widget, then you will have shortcuts to previously selected fields, or you can select Choose Another to select a different field for the first time.

Select a predefined drill hierarchy

If the dashboard’s owner has created predefined drill hierarchies, you can select one of these instead.

Go to a dashboard.
Right-click on the widget item you want to drill down into.
Select a predefined drill hierarchy.
